Hi I'm Zachary Taylor

I grew up in Layton Utah. I am going to be serving a mission in Lima Peru. I love food, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to ride motorcycles, bikes, and drive cars. I go on hikes many times throughout the week. I like being outside and feeling the breeze and having a good time. My friends and I like to go on dates all the time. Being together as friends and doing some fun things together. I love living life. I love each day I am given and look only to the present to find joy and happiness. The greatest gift that I feel I have been given is today and the opportunity to have a tomorrow.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the light it has brought to my life. I have both seen and felt the darkness in this world and it's degrading spirit it brings. I have also felt the Light of Christ in my life which I can best describe as love. Even when I make mistakes while being a member of God's church I still feel his love and comfort to help me keep going. I am not perfect. But with God, are not all things possible?

How I live my faith

To live my faith I attend seminary at school. I enjoy the lessons taught and the friends I have made and will continue to make. I read the scriptures that have been given to us each day and read other material each night. I participate each Sunday in our worship services. I am a home teacher in two wards. I will be serving a mission in July. The best way to show our faith as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is as taught in the New Testament, to show our faith by our works. I strive each day to be more kind, considerate, and loving. It is by our fruits that you may know who, and how we are.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Zachary Taylor
I love paying tithing. If you were a member of a church, school, or community function that you loved with all your heart and wanted it to progress so that you could share the joy that it brings you with others, would you not contribute to that particular function? The tithing that is paid is used for an innumerable amount of things. Including church buildings, temples, church literature and much more. Every time I enter a chapel, read a pamphlet, or look at a picture of a temple in a country I have never heard of; I feel that even though it may be a small contribution, that I none the less helped to bring that certain thing to reality through my contribution. I advise all who are members and non-members alike to pay tithing. Regardless of all the blessings you will receive doing so, you can have a personal sense of community, commitment, and satisfaction knowing you helped. Show more Show less
