Hi I'm Vickie

I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, and I teach piano lessons to one and all.

About Me

I came from a generation where parents didn't tell their children that they were adopted. So, in my 30's, after my mother had passed, my Dad's new wife took it upon herself to tell me (and not so kindly either). After going through a "blue funk" for a while, I realized it didn't matter who my earthly parents were, that, I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father who will never lie to me. So, I picked myself up, and I am trying to be the best wife, mother and grandmother that I can be. I am not letting the fact that my parents lived a lie define who I am or who I can become.

Why I am a Mormon

All I ever really wanted was to be a wife and a mother (and now a grandmother), and, I can't imagine not being with my family. Temple covenants promise us that as long as we are faithful, that our family unit will continue for this life and beyond.

How I live my faith

I love to serve, and I love to connect with others. I teach private piano lessons and love to work with young children and help them discover and develop their talents. I love to be with the young people of the church and my favorite job in the church was being with the youth at 6:00 a.m. every morning for years teaching in what is called our "Seminary" program. I currently work in leadership with the women of our ward. This gives me a unique opportunity to serve many women who are in many circumstances and come from many walks of life.
