Hi I'm Gareth

I grew up in London, with an Ecuadorian culture. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a quite the reserved person in the beginning but once you get to know me I will not stop talking !! I enjoy playing all sorts of strategic games such as chess and Go and I am a gamer through and through. At the moment I am serving a mission but have plans to go to university when I return to study computer science. Technology and Gaming is what I like !!

Why I am a Mormon

Converting unto Christ is a long period, I would attend lessons as a young man and do what was needed to help other people. I felt good in doing so but I also felt I was feeding of my mother's testimony. I wanted to be able to say boldly what I believe and have those feelings in me. So when seminary started I decided to really study out the Book of Mormon, with my scriptures on one end with pen and paper on the other. When I started it was as if tasting a sweet fruit, I wanted to know more. There were so many treasure hidden from me because I did not seek them out, but as I did I felt my whole character change and become more Christ-like. When I reached the end I read through Moroni's testimony and the whole purpose of the book. I always started the reading of the book with a prayer to have understanding, but in this case I prayed to know if it is true. Those sweet feeling I had from reading came rushing to me and my mouth was able to utter the words boldly that I know my Saviour lives and that He died for me and that this book is another testament of Him.

How I live my faith

Back in the church in London, it is the only Spanish speaking one there. There are many people from different parts of South America and Spain and thus there is a need for an interpreter. I tried my best to interpret people that come to talk in that Spanish church from English to Spanish, but it is really hard for a teenage boy to stand in front of the multitude and try not to get nervous. However by doing this I learn a lot and see how whether it be in Spanish or English the spirit still testifies of the truth.
