Hi I'm Megan

I am adopted from China and grew up in Utah. I love to swim. I served in the China Hong Kong Mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the youngest of seven kids. I love to swim, cook and read. I served in the China Hong Kong Mission (2014-2016). I am currently attending Brigham Young University and am studying Exercise and Wellness. I hope to go into Occupational Therapy.

Why I am a Mormon

At the age of two I was adopted into a loving family. Luckily for me, this family were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grew up listening to friends and family sharing their testimonies, singing primary songs, and reading the Book of Mormon. At the age of eight, I knew that I had a very important decision to make, whether or not to be baptized. I read my scriptures and I prayed to know if being baptized was the right decision for me. I had calming peace come over me. I knew that it was what Heavenly Father wanted for me. At the age of 19, I had another very important decision to make, whether or not to go on a mission. It was a tough one. I would have to put my life, my goals, my dreams all on hold. I would forgo continuing my education, my job and seeing my family just so I could serve a mission. Throughout my life I have had to make big decisions, and most of them have to do with my religion. I am a Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father has blessed me with so much. I want to show Him how grateful I am for the many opportunities He has given me. I know that I can do anything with Him by my side.

How I live my faith

I was blessed with the opportunity to serve a mission in China Hong Kong. This was a amazing opportunity for me because I was able to go back close to where I came from. I loved sharing the gospel with them and seeing how the gospel can change anyone's life. Currently I am serving as a ward missionary in my YSA ward. I love that I get to continue being a missionary and reach out to those who don't know Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father yet. Every week, I try to contact people from my mission, whether it's members, converts or less actives. I send them notes, videos or even try to Skype with them. I want them to know that they can still learn and live the gospel principles, and I hope that my testimony can help build their testimony.
