Hi I'm Tanner

I'm from Utah. I am excited to have been called to the Spain Madrid Mission, where I will serve the wonderful people of Spain.

About Me

As a busy high school student, I balance my time between homework, work, hanging out with friends, and enjoying my hobbies. I also enjoy spending time outdoors while camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and riding 4-wheelers. I am excited to serve a mission in Madrid Spain, where I will spread the gospel to the amazing people of Spain.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been fortunate enough to be a member of the LDS church for my entire life. My parents, grandparents, and other ancestors have all been faithful members of the church. This allowed me to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for our faith from a young age that has stuck with me over the years. I have worked to grow my own faith through scripture study, personal prayer, and consistent church activity, each of which has allowed me to receive a testimony of my own. This testimony goes as follows: I know this church is true. I know the Book of Mormon is true and bears witness of Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven. I also know Joseph Smith was a true prophet and received the First Vision as a young man. His faithful work and sacrifice has proved to be instrumental in the growth of our church. I also know Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet and regularly receives revelation from God for the benefit of our church and its members. I have a testimony of temples, and the sacred work that goes on inside. I know that through these ordinances, we can live together as an eternal family. I also know that by performing temple work for the dead, we can give others the opportunity to partake of the atonement and allow them to receive all the blessings as those here on earth. I know these things to be true, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Having grown up and lived in Utah County for most of my life, some may say that I live in a "bubble" where high concentrations of LDS members make my life a breeze. What I have found over the years is that one must make difficult choices wherever you live. Having just completed high school, I have seen and been exposed to many of the same struggles that plague other high schools across America. People around me, including close friends, continually fall away from the path and become victim to the way of the world. In any situation, you must decide what kind of person you will be. I have personally decided to stand strong and uphold gospel values, whatever the situation may be. This has allowed me to be an example to friends and others around me, who have commented on how I stand out compared to others. I choose to say no to actions or situations in which I know is against my religion and my values. This has allowed me to live my faith, even in Utah County.
