Hi I'm Ty Dunn

I am from Rexburg Idaho. I love skiing, spending time with friends and family, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

My name is Ty! I am the second to youngest out of seven children and I have the best parents out there. I love life in general. Some of my favorite things to do include skiing, music, sports, and hanging out with friends. I will try anything and I love going on adventures. I am currently serving my mission in Roseville California.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony that God is our father and he loves us. His church is on the earth today! This church has a prophet who had been called by God to lead and guide everyone in these latter days. He holds the priesthood authority of God which allows us to participate fully in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and receive all the blessings that come as we make sacred Covenants with our Heavenly Father. I also know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It is the foundation of my Testimony. As I have continually studied its words and turned to God concerning the validity of its teachings I can say, with out a doubt, that it is an inspired writing given to us in these latter days as a Second Witness of Jesus Chirst and his Atoenment. I know that as I live the Gospel of Jesus Christ as found in its pages, use the Atonement, and keep the sacred Covenents I have made with my Heavenly Father, I can be with my family for all Enternity.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others. By doing this I not only feel better about myself but I can help brighten someone else's day. I love to go to my meetings and work hard in my callings in the church. By doing this I can grow closer to my father in heaven and learn my role as an individual on this earth just a little better.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Ty Dunn
Baptism is an important part of Gods plan for us. It is essential for all who wish to reside in his kingdom to be baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority of God. However, their are a lot of people that either have died without the chance to be baptized or have been baptized by someone without the proper authority. Because God is merciful he has prepared a way for all people to have the chance to be baptized. Proxy baptism is the tool that God has given us to provide this opportunity to these people. Church members are able to be baptized in behalf of people that did not have an opportunity in life to be baptized. In the next life those who choose to accept these proxy baptisms will receive all the blessings that God has associated with baptism. Show more Show less
