Hi I'm JoCarol

I grew up in FL but have lived most of my adult life in AR. I lived in TX for nearly 20-years, where I became a Mormon.

About Me

Nearly 21-years ago I became a Mormon, which improved my life tremendously!! I am a 70-year old great-grandmother with several adult grandchildren. I enjoy reading, gardening, sewing, crochet, and looking at beautiful natural scenery, especially mountains and seashores.

Why I am a Mormon

Due to my love of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, I became part of the restored Gospel and a Mormon. I know this is their true church upon the earth today and where they want me to be. Currently, I am looking forward to one of our semi-annual conferences broadcast from Salt Lake City to most meeting houses in the world the first weekends of April and October.

How I live my faith

In our church organization, I have 2 main jobs or callings. I keep the library neat and organized so teachers can find what they need to teach lessons. I also organize events for single members over the age of 30. Our little Branch is 23-miles away in Mountain View, where we have Sunday services in our Chapel as well as Scripture study on Thursday eves, Geneology work Wednesday afternoons, and other meetings.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

JoCarol
The Word of Wisdom is a health code given by God that we follow. Since He made us,He knows what our bodies need for best health and ability to function. He promises great blessings if we do as He asks Show more Show less

What is the difference between attending a church and attending a temple?

JoCarol
Churches are local houses of worship also used for meetings. Temples are where we made solemn covenants with God to serve Him as well as we can. My church building is 23-miles away while the Nearest Temple is more than a hundred miles from here Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

JoCarol
Yes, Mormons believe in the Bible, as far as it is translated correctly. Ever since I was old enough to read, I have loved the Psalms and Proverbs as well as the stories of Jesus. I still read them, along with modern Scriptures that support and re-enforce the Bible's teachings. These modern Scriptures are the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, and some Declarations from our Prophet Show more Show less
