Hi I'm Adam

I'm an American, a Utahn, a student, I'm really really funny, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well right now I'm a missionary in the France Lyon Mission. Otherwise I'm an engineering student at Utah State University. I love learning new things! I like to think that I'm not super good at any one thing but I'm kind of good at a lot of different things! For example, I can juggle fruit but only if it's round and not more than three at a time. When I crack a joke about half the people in the room laugh and sometimes things that I fix around the house work afterwards but you never know. In high school I played Lacrosse as an LSM and I was on the VEX robotics club. I hope one day to develop prosthetics so that I can help people with the gifts God has given me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the gospel so for a long time the only reason I was a Mormon was because my parents were, it wasn't until I got to high school that I really started to look at my life and why I lived the way that I did. the conclusion that I came to was that the main reason I'm in the church is because it makes me happy. My dad always says "You wake up every morning and right then you make a decision to be happy. If you don't odds are you won't be." The happiest times of my life have been when I'm following the teachings of the gospel as closely as I can. I'm studying to be an engineer so I like straight lines and direct cause and effect relationships. There isn't a straighter one then this: live the gospel, be happy.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a full time missionary, I'd say that's a pretty good start. One way in particular that I try to live my faith is by simplifying things. With all the crazy stuff that can go on and that does go on in life I try to just ask myself what God wants me to do. Then if I feel like he has a strong opinion about it I try and follow him, I trust that even though I'm pretty smart, He's a lot smarter.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Adam
In the Book of Mormon and the Bible we learn how important it is to help those in need. Also we learn that this help should be done "in wisdom and order". (Mosiah 4:26-27) The welfare system is the way God has given us to help those in need in the most effective way. Show more Show less
