Hi I'm Kason Olson

I grew up in Colorado. I love to Snowboard, I'm serving a Mission in Spokane Washington, and of course I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm 20 years old, I'm a very optomistic person. I am very persistant and never give up even when times and challenges come at me, which seem to happen a lot throughout my life. I have lived in many states over the period of my life such as Utah, New Mexico, Kentucky, and Colorado. I enjoy singing and to jam out to music. I love Snowboard and tearing up the slopes. I love to be athletic, active and hangout with my friends. I also enjoy making new ones. I've played Lacrosse since I was in 5th grade and continue to do so in college. I'm a College Student, but recently I've taken a break to work and most importantly to be a Missionary and serve a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

The reasons why I am a Mormon is because the Doctrine and the teachings the church teaches have more depth and understanding than many other churches; and all of the things that are taught and that I read from the scriptures makes sense to me, and I continually learn. In my journeys I found that something was missing after kind of doing my own thing. I searched and looked for a church that would really make me happy and live my life to how I felt the most peace. That is when I developed and found my path to join the church of Christ. The Church is centered around Christ and what I love is its all about hope. The family is very much central and I really enjoy and appreciate that I can live with my Family for all eternity and we can do that through God. The presence of the Holy Ghost has testified several times to me personally and told me of the truths that the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I like many others have fallen and have had my lows and rebellious times, but with the atonement of Christ I have been able to be at peace, comfort, clearity, direction and most importantly forgiven of my transgressions. I've seen the Miracle of change in both mine and through others lives. These are the reasons why I chose for myslef to become a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I participate frequently in service opportunities through my church in the community. I always try to live and act through my life the way Christ would want me to, and continually work my absolute best to become like him. I strife to learn through the scriptures often and keep my Heavenly Father involved in my life, especially seeking his help everyday. Obviously on a mission you do nothing but live the Faith and by taking two years to help other come closer to their savior as well!

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Kason Olson
As we search through our lives to know God/ our Heavenly Father, I know for a fact that he has given us many ways to come unto him. He cares about each and every one of us and wants us to have a relationship with him, and most importantly live with him again. Some of the ways he has personally given us to do these things are to read the scriptures. There are many special testimonies from witneses called apostles and prophets that had very sacred experiences with god and recorded them in these sacred books called scriptures. 2Timothy 3:14-17 from the Bible says this very thing! we must learn and become better people and know God by feasting the words which he gives us for correction, instruction in righteousness keeping his commandments (John 14:21-23), and make us wise unto salvation through faith. Another way is to Pray to Heavenly Father in faith and with a humble heart. James 1:5 directly says this, both in communicating with him through prayer. Also during the times when you need a question answered he is there to inspire you. This usually happens when we are confused to something that we might not know about, but want the truth to. I know that "As you act on your desire to belive, God will strengthen your belief in him until it becomes sure knowledge (Book of Mormon, Alma 32:27-35) Show more Show less
