Hi I'm Jane

I grew up in Oxford,England. I recently sold lumpias to raise money for the Philippines Victims. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 5 children ages 13, 18, 22, 25 and 26. Together with my husband and children we have lived in 5 different countries. ( Oxford, England, Divonne Le Bains,France, Maryland, USA, Aberdeen, Scotland and The Hague, Cadier En Keer and Mheer, The Netherlands. I love to cook. Especially Indian and Thai Cuisine. I love reading. Historical novels are a favorite. I like to study and learn about herbs and plants for healing. I am an artist of oil pastels, ink, chalk and charcoal and pencil. I have studied Color Analysis,( Color Me Beautiful). I enjoy being involved with stage production, eg. making costumes, make-up etc... My secret wish is to drive a Formula 1 racing car! I absolutely love donkeys!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that being a Mormon has blessed me and molded me into the person I am today. By serving in this Faith I have been strengthened and learnt so much. And will continue to do just that! We can never sit and be idle, there is always work to do and lives to bless. And this continues through the whole week, every week, not just on Sundays when we attend church. I think that is why I choose to be a member of this church because it is all about Service, love, families and enduring to the end. I know who I am, A child of God, and I know I can live with him again one day if I continue to try every day to be like him and his son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as leader of the women's group in our ward. We arrange activities on a regular basis that will help women become better wives and mothers and a help in the community around them. we also meet together on Sunday and are taught Spiritual principles that will help to uplift and improve our lives. My responsibility in the church has taught me one very important thing....Never to judge some-one. We are all God's children. We should love each other as he loves us. None of us are perfect. I try to be a friend to all people. I think that people shouldn't be avoided because they look different, act different, or speak different. Its a challenge and sometimes it takes courage, but, the rewards are great. You never know when you can make a huge difference for good in their lives. I joined the church when I was a teenager and i am happy that I had some guidance and principles to follow in my life. It helped me to become a better person. In the past I have worked with the Youth and the Primary children and have enjoyed the benefits of these responsibilities and learned a great deal. My faith helps and strengthens me through times when I struggle and I am happy to serve the Lord to show him just how grateful I am to him for giving me so much.
