Hi I'm Sister Savannah Williams

I'm an Idahoan. I'm serving in the Kansas Wichita Mission and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! I'm Sister Savannah Williams! I am from the Snake River Valley, also known as Rexburg. I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ when I was 8 years old by my dad. I have always loved to sing and play sports, I've done them my whole life. During my first semester of BYUI I was in the process of auditioning for "The Voice" with my plane ticket and audition time all ready to go- when in the process I was prompted otherwise and decided to go on a mission. Its been the best decision of my life and have been extremely blessed. I didn't know the Book of Mormon was true until I was 17 years old when I finally was humble enough to pray and ask Heavenly Father. My conversion started from there and with the help of my amazing family, I was able to come on a mission and serve my brothers and sisters here in the Heartland of America.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Both of my parents served LDS missions, and I'm currently in the process of getting ready to serve on as well. I chose to live the standards of the gospel because it truly brings so much happiness and joy to my life. I have seen the difference of having the gospel and not having it within my own family. I know that God lives and loves each and everyone of us, He atoned for all of our sins that we will be able to return to live with him in Heaven someday. There are going to be times in our life that there will be no earthly explanation but, we need to have faith in the Lord- for he is in charge of our lives. I'm grateful for my time on this earth and that i'm able to be here and make a difference in my life and the lives of others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being obedient to the gospel and its teachings. I was raised to set a good example for others by living righteously so that others can see Christ through me. Another way, was actually understanding that my faith isn't just a "Sunday" faith, its my life and who I am. There are so many blessings I have witnessed in my life from living the way Christ would want me to live.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Sister Savannah Williams
We were given our family to help serve, teach and learn from one another. Through God's plan we believe that through obedience, living righteously and keeping the covenants we made, we can return to live with our Father in Heaven with our families forever. In whom should we have faith?

Sister Savannah Williams
We need to have faith in the Savior and in our loving Heavenly Father- they are true beings and from them is where we receive power to be able to endure to the end. Faith is confidence in Jesus Christ that he will lead you through- that everything will work out. I know that when we put our trust in the Lord and believe in Him, our faith will be strengthened through experience and our love for him will increase. Show more Show less
