Hi I'm Ashley

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I love traveling and going on adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I come from a family of five, with two older brothers, my parents, and myself. I attend Brigham Young University and study advertising. I love all types of music! I have been involved in concert bands, marching band, and choir. I also love being active and outdoors, whether it be running, hiking, kayaking, playing soccer, or just hanging out with friends. I love traveling, serving others, and learning about different cultures. I especially love missionary work and served a mission in the Japan Kobe Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is through this Gospel that I have found true happiness and joy! I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life, but I had to find out for myself if I really believed all of its teachings. Through the Spirit, little by little, my faith and testimony have grown and I have received several personal confirmations that this Church is true. I have had many trials of faith and my share of doubts but each time, I ultimately realize that it is only through my Lord and Savior that I can find comfort. In times of conflict, I have found answers through praying, studying the scriptures, and reading the words of our living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I am no longer worried about my future because of the knowledge I have been provided in this Gospel. I love this Church and have seen how it has changed the lives of others for the better. I am a Mormon because I know this Church is true and I can't imagine my life without the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday to the best of my ability. I try to serve others, keep my language clean, include others, and love everyone around me. In high school, I volunteered at the local hospital every week and was a leader to the other young women at church. I have also served as a Sunday School teacher and counselor in an organization for women. In these callings, I had the opportunity to get to know and love those I served. I also participate in the visiting teaching program which allows me to reach out to others and get to know new people. I also live my faith by attending my church meetings each week. In my community and church, I try to volunteer as often as I can because I know that when I serve others, I am in the service of God. I know that Christ is our perfect example and I live my faith by trying to exemplify Him.
