Hi I'm Kyra

I'm a young stay-at-home mother. I'm learning to play the violin. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle of two sisters. I grew up playing the piano and clogging. I attended Utah State University, where I met my husband, and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Communicative Disorders. I recently became a mother to a beautiful boy and am so blessed to spend each day nurturing him in our home. In an effort to pursue my higher education and develop my talents, I have been taking violin lessons for three months and hope to become proficient enough that I can teach my children to play the violin and piano. We love music in our family! Other things I enjoy are going to the library, going on walks, running, flowers, traveling, other cultures, the ocean, reading to my baby, and having dinner with friends!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a gospel-centered home and understand the importance of the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and in my family's life. Through trials and living gospel principles each day, I have come to develop greater faith in Christ and to know Him. I know he lives and that he loves me. I know that he knows my heart and hears and answers each prayer. I know he lifts me and sends others to lift me when I cannot lift myself. I know that through His atonement, I can be forgiven of all my sins, big or small, and can become more perfected in Him, able to return to live with Him again someday. I know that Heavenly Father is very mindful of each individual circumstance and that I can have his guiding hand in my life when I am humble and align my will with His. I know that I will be with my family forever and that great blessings come with worshiping in the Lord's holy temples. I feel God's love for me each day and I know that he has the same immeasurable love for every person who has been and who will be on the earth; we are His children. Being a Mormon brings me peace and happiness beyond description. I continue to follow His gospel because I know it is true and I desire to share it with others so that they may enjoy the wonderful blessings the gospel brings and be with their families forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to family, friends, neighbors, and associates. I currently teach a class of four-year-old children in our ward about their purpose here on earth, of Heavenly Father's love for them, and how they can return to live with Him again someday. I also visit women where I live each month and we talk about our lives and our beliefs and become a support and friend to one another. When I was in school I took classes specific to the youth of the church where we learned about the teachings of Jesus Christ, studied the teachings of prophets both ancient and modern, and learned how to become better people and to help others. Each day I focus on inviting the spirit into my home by reading the scriptures and praying together as a family, listening to uplifting music, setting uplifting and challenging goals each week, and writing in a journal. I live my faith each day as I set an example for my son and work to develop attributes to help me become more like Jesus Christ.
