Hi I'm Lindsay Ann

I'm an American/Guatemalan, third degree black belt, wife and soon to be mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a multi-cultural family, my father an American and my mother from Guatemala. I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint. My mother was a convert and both her and my father taught my brother and sisters and I the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helped us as we developed our own testimonies of our Savior Jesus Christ and the Restoration. I always had a strong desire to serve a full time mission and was able to in the Amazons of the beautiful country of Brazil. I married my best friend two years ago and we are expecting our first child this Fall. I'm excited to be a mother and raise our son/daughter in the gospel. I enjoy going out to see movies, fishing, going to the beach, traveling and spending time with my family. Growing up, I was very active in the martial arts of Tae Kwon Do. It helped teach me self-discipline and respect for not only myself but for others. As I competed in tournaments both nationally and internationally, I had many opportunities to share and be an example of my faith with teammates and other competitors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know with all of my heart that this Gospel is true. I was not brainwashed nor raised with the belief that I had to be a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I want to be. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and am grateful to know that He has prepared a way for ALL to return again to Heaven and live with Him and our families for forever. After I was baptized at the age of 8, I had the most incredible experience that I shared with my mother saying, "I feel so clean." I know I am not perfect, and for that reason I am so grateful to know that through Christ's Atonement, I can be forgiven of my sins. I love being a Mormon, I love feeling the Savior's presence in my life, I love knowing what I know to be true because I prayed and asked for truth, and I received it, and you can too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. I am currently a ward mission leader and assist the full time LDS missionaries by visiting with them and the people they are teaching and also encouraging ward members to fulfill their roles as missionaries. I enjoy this calling because I believe missionary work is an amazing way to show our love for our fellow man and also for our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.
