Hi I'm Cristi

I was born and raised in Oregon. I love my family, nature, dogs, natural and alternative healing. I'm a chaplain and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I became very ill a little more than a decade ago and have been on a healing journey ever since. I trained in several energy healing modalities after finding hope and healing in the world of alternative medicine. I love learning and graduated from the school of hard knocks. I'm also officially a student finishing my degree online. I have been married for decades, raised three wonderful girls, and now have four darling grandsons who call me Nana. I love to mentor others and help them get what they really want out of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon home where religion wasn't practiced much, but I had the chance to always attend church services on Sundays and children's and youth meetings during the week. In spite of the fact that there was much alcohol and tobacco addiction, and that I wasn't being taught how to live like a Mormon at home, I knew in my heart that what I was being taught at church was real and true. I always had the chance to choose out if I wanted, but I kept choosing in because it is what felt good and right and true. I married a man who chose in after being raised in another religion, and together we saw the wonderful benefit of teaching our children the principles of the gospel and how to live them at home and everywhere else. I now have the wonderful blessing of seeing how my children have chosen in and how they're raising their own children in light and truth, all because they really want to. I am so thankful for the great example of many wonderful people who taught me Christian ways of love and service, and who took the time to help me along the path. My religion means the world to me. I am blessed!

How I live my faith

I cherish my relationship with my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I have had many opportunities teaching children, youth, and adults about faith and obedience and the joy that living the gospel brings into your life. I also love music and have been involved in leading congregational singing and participating in church choirs. Most importantly, though, I love having a personal relationship with my Savior and taking the time to ponder and pray and listen for guidance and direction. That is what has kept me safe, healed me, and brought me immense joy.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is like belonging to a really cool club where you can invite everyone you know to belong to it, too! It's a wonderful blessing to have the love and support of other church members, even if you go places where you don't know a single soul. You walk through life knowing who you are, why you're on earth, and how you'll live on forever with those you love. It is hard work at times, but the pay-off is immense. The joy and peace are simply immeasurable. Show more Show less
