Hi I'm Evielynne Sanchez

I'm a Mormon. Yes, its beyond true. I am a military BRAT not to be confused with just a plain brat.

About Me

Baptism was on Oct 12th. My husband was baptized 12 years ago (he joined for the wrong reasons) and did it to save his marriage (his 1st marriage). It didn't save it and he fell away from it. So here we were married 6 years and out of no where I state. "Hey we should have the missionaries come over" there was no rhyme or reason why that came out of my mouth. And so our magic ladies came (Sister Princess from other the Hill and Sister Vanna White - I nickname missionaries). My battled was the Priesthood, and I am not joking. Coming from a male dominated home, I was treated as an equal in my mine. Then I had the perfect lesson about the Priesthood that I pray on so, hard and I found peace with what I learned and knew I was going to be baptized. I believe in this Church, I have seen the joy, and a great many of blessings. Opposition is everything we face from the day I was baptized from my business flopping, to 2 floods in my RV to 4 mths of on and off frozen doors to our home and through it all I kept my faith strong and strived on as if they were blessings. I think sometimes when you know its 100% right - that devil is going to work overtime on you. Well the devil , he forgot God gave me a gift of working harder. That light in our life is now brighter because we do what is right for us and never a moment did we ever forget that Jesus was right there with us. Don't ever give up. Its hard YES but when you submit to your Lord its not so.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon? Because God made me this way. I find this question silly to be very honest. It is like asking why is the sky blue. The answer is so clear because I've accepted the truth. Mormon is the same thing as breathing the air. We need it, we want it, we live it.... I will not allow apathy in my life. NEVER. I love my scriptures and yes sometime I have to read them 5-7 times to get a clear understanding but you know what, I will read it 8 times to let is settle in my heart forever.

How I live my faith

I was so overwhelmed at first because I ran a business and it seem like every day we had a Church obligation going on. I couldn't balance out my studies/business/obligation/time for me - nothing for that matter. I was failing big time. I broke down one day and then felt a huge peace after praying to our heavenly father asking how can I do it? OMG it was so simple - I now get up at 3am (don't fret I am a major morning person) and read till 3:30am - and then I work at my business till 7am and we have family prayer and then back to my business till 3pm and then I am fair game to fulfill any obligation the Church has for me. And I can do this with joy and not dredge. Again it can be hard. BUT DON'T give up, you have to find what works for you. I found if I put GOD first then everything else falls into place. I bare testimony to this. DON'T GIVE UP EVER. I have 2 callings I am the bulletin board specialist and a ward missionary. I always end my day with my scripture studies. It helps start my day with God and end my day on the same note.
