Hi I'm Gayle

I'm a sixth generation Aussie. I love my crazy big family and being outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I completed an Education Degree when I was younger and taught for a few years before I married and started a family. In an effort to keep up with my children and grandchildren I am enrolled in an IT Course. I am Mum to 8 and a Grandma of 14 grandchildren. I enjoy bush camping. Every day I like to spend time in our mini suburban backyard farm where we raise animals and have a food garden.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts to the Church when I was 6 years old. But I am a convert too because even though I grew up with the teachings of the Church, I had to find out for myself if those teachings and principles were true and if I really wanted to follow them in my life. I have searched it out in my heart and in my mind and prayed for personal confirmation and have come to have a strong conviction and knowledge that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds all the knowledge and enlightenment and understanding that God wants us to have so that we can be happy in this life and return to live with Him as families in the next life. I love that God still speaks to mankind today just as He did in days of old - and that is through a living Prophet. This knowledge brings me peace and helps me make sense of the craziness of the world around me and the challenges I might face at times. I know that I can speak to a loving Father in Heaven in prayer and receive personal direction and reassurance.

How I live my faith

I believe that what you know should dictate what you do so I have always accepted any opportunity to participate in church or community programs that reach out and serve others. When my children were at school I served on the Governing Council, assisted in the classroom and helped with sports teams. At church I have worked in the youth group and children's programs. I have also enjoyed participating in the Women's Auxiliary at church where I have had the pleasure of assisting with the planning and implementation of conferences, activities and service projects. My husband and I have always included our children in these community and church activities and service opportunities so that they can understand that we are all responsible for improving the world we live in.
