Hi I'm Shawn Stallings

I love sports and music, I'm aspiring in the field of sports medicine, I'm a full-time missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I'm serving a full-time mission for two-years in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. When I finish serving my mission, I will return to BYU-Idaho to receive my human biology degree. As I mentioned in my introduction, I hope to go into the sports medicine field. Also, as stated in my introduction, I love sports and music. I love to play basketball, lift weights, and basically do anything active. As for music, I play the guitar, the piano, and sing. In addition, I'm an uncle to the greatest nephew an uncle could have.

Why I am a Mormon

As I was raised in Christ's Church, I was taught the doctrine and principles of the gospel; however, as I grew up, I knew I needed my own witness of the truthfulness of what I was taught. Through prayer, I received a witness and testimony through the Holy Spirit that this Church, Christ's Church, is true. Before, I needed a witness to know if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true. Now, I am a witness that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that everyone can come to the same knowledge as they pray to our Heavenly Father in sincerity and faith. As we pray with this desire for truth, God will answer our prayers through the Holy Spirit which communicates with us through our thoughts and through our feelings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve all those around me. By word and by action, I feel it is my duty to serve as many people, as much as possible. I strive to live in accordance to what I know and to keep my standards. Hopefully, by trying my best to live to be steadfast and immovable in what I know, I can be an example to those around me.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Shawn Stallings
To become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you desire to follow Christ because of the feelings of peace and happiness that you've experienced. Once you desire to follow Christ, the next step is to obey the commandments that have been given to us by God. After you live a life in accordance to God's commandments, you build a testimony of the teachings and principle of the gospel. Once a testimony has been build, you will become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through the act of baptism by a member who has authority to do so. Show more Show less
