Hi I'm Felice

I'm a homeschooling mom of 6 children. I have been married to my adoring husband for 14 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After graduating from BYU in Educational Psychology, I entered the workforce where I taught for a number of years. I enjoyed my career but always knew that my true heart's desire was to be a stay-at-home mom, I just needed to meet Mr. Right. It wasn't until my sister set me up on a blind date with a friend of a friend that I knew I had found the one! After a lengthy courtship of 4 months we got married! Fourteen years and 6 children later, we have created a wonderful life together! When I am not being a domestic engineer, taxi driver, nurse, arbiter of disputes, spiritual leader, and teacher, i.e., mom, I go on dates with my husband, take cello lessons, and stay involved in my community by staying up to date and vocal about educational issues.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon because the principles taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have brought me the greatest happiness. When I live my life based on principles of love, faith, repentance, and prayer, I have a greater capacity to experience joy in my role as a wife, mother, and member of my community. When I keep my commitment to Heavenly Father to always remember His Son, Jesus Christ, and to follow His example I feel at peace in a world where there is turmoil and unhappiness. Raising children in a society where wickedness can reach them through countless ways would be overwhelming without the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am grateful I can instill in them the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ so they can be armed with the tools they need to withstand temptation and stand for the right, even when the world would have them do otherwise.

How I live my faith

I am the children's music director at church. I get to use my interest in how children learn and my love of music to teach basic gospel principles in a way that strengthens the children's testimonies of Jesus Christ. It is my favorite way to be involved in church! I believe that the way children are educated in schools directly impacts the family. And because I believe the family is central to the Lord's Plan of Salvation, I try to stay up to date on educational policies both locally and nationally. I use my background in education and my knowledge of God's Plan as the foundation for my involvement in the community regarding education. I have testified at a state hearing for an education bill, and I stay in regular contact with local school board members and state senators to make my voice heard on issues that can have a lasting impact on families.
