Hi I'm Catherine Anna Badger

I grew up in Minneapolis, MN where I met the missionaries. I am the mother of 11 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have eleven children. I enjoy reading, gardening, remodeling and visiting my grandchildren. I am part of the sandwich generation. I help take care of my aging father, have married children and grandchildren and also have two children still living at home. My husband and I met at college. We love going on dates every Friday and getting together with our family.

Why I am a Mormon

My sister was interested in Donny Osmond when we were teenagers. He said he would only marry a Mormon and that really bothered her. She contacted the missionaries and my sisters and I took the discussions along with our father. I had grown up Catholic, but I felt like the doctrines the missionaries taught us just rang true. The drinking, smoking, drug culture of the 1970's looked glamorous on TV, but in reality it caused poor health, heartache, and the disintegration of the family. My parents were divorced and I was a senior in high school. I needed an anchor in my life. I joined the church and started college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah the following semester. I couldn't be happier with my new religion. I have since met and married the man of my dreams. We have eleven beautiful children and now eleven grandchildren. We live in a beautiful area with wonderful friends and neighbors. I want nothing more than for the whole world to know such happiness. The gospel of Jesus Christ means everything to me. Families are eternal. I know I will be with my departed loved ones again someday. Our Heavenly Father gave us the Plan of Salvation and we will live with him again someday if we make and keep sacred covenants ie. baptism, confirmation, etc. President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God. The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. We have General Conference every six months, the first weekend in April and October. I encourage you to go to www.lds.org and listen to the Conference talks. The talks are given by our leaders and they are inspired by God for our day. Come join us and feel the joy, peace and forgiveness the Savior can bring into your life. I bear this witness in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy being a visiting teacher. It gives me a wonderful opportunity to love an serve my sisters. I serve in our women's organization as an advisor to the young single adults. Their enthusiasm and dedication is inspiring. Researching family history brings me such joy and peace. I help out at my daughter's school and enjoy many opportunities to love and serve my neighbors.
