Hi I'm Elizabeth

I'm a high school student. I love to read, sing, learn German, and play the oboe. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of six children. I am a senior in high school. I'm always really busy, but I love reading, spending time with my family, playing the oboe, and singing. I am learning German in school and hope to be fluent one day. I find museums fascinating, and I love to learn new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but it was still very important for me to learn for myself that the gospel was true. As I've learned more and gained more experience, the gospel just makes sense. God has a plan for us, and He helps us to understand this plan: I know who I am, why I am here, what I am supposed to do here on earth, and what will happen when my life is over. I have gained so much comfort from this knowledge. The gospel helps me find peace in this crazy, confused world. I love having the knowledge that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live, love me, and want me to return to live with them again.

How I live my faith

Every morning, I go to a scripture study class with other students my age. At church, I act as the president in my class of 16 to 18 year old girls. I perform with our church choir a few times every year. Last summer, I helped to plan and lead a young women's camp for girls ages 12 to 18. I try to read the scriptures and pray every day. By the time I was sixteen, I had already read the Book of Mormon and the whole Bible. I show God's love for others as I serve them and help them in my daily life.
