Hi I'm John

I am a Mormon convert. I am married and have 10 grandchildren, even with challenges life is good.

About Me

I have been in the household goods moving business for over 40 years. My wife and I enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren. Whenever we can, we go off roading and love it. I like the beach, desert and mountians. I enjoy magic, reading, target practice and serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

When my wife and I were married I inherited two children, a 12 year old boy and a 10 year old girl. As we intergrated our lives I felt the children would benifit from going to church. Eventually my son asked why I was not attending if he had to go. That was a fair question so I started to attend as a non member of the Mormon Church. Yes, it is ok to attend if you are not a member. I made many life long freinds in the Church during my early years. As I continued attending I took the missionary lessons and felt what they were teaching was true. It made sense to me. As I prayed for a confirmation of the truthfulness of what I had been taught, I eventually received an answer through the Spirit. When you know somethng is true you still have to make a commitment. I knew it was true and I knew my Father in Heaven knew I belived the Gospel as prsented by the Church. For me there was no looking back, I had to move forward and join the Church by being baptized. I have not been perfect by any means, in fact I have never met anyone that is. We are all just doing our best and trying to be better everyday. I do know that this Church is true. That Jesus Christ is my Savior and your Savior. That the Church founded by Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in these latter days. I also know we have prophets on the earth today, they guide us, inspire us and incourage us to live rightous lives. I leave this testimony with you in the name of my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ, amen

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with a variety callings in the Church. I have spent an equal amount of time working with the youth and adults. As a member of the Sunday School we just put on a class which showed how to use the internet to learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ through LDS web sites. As a scout master for many years I enjoyed working with the boys, spending time at camp and helping them grow into responsible young men who love their Father In Heaven. We have lived in several areas in California and the Church is always the same. Different people, same doctrine and always opportunities to serve others. Everyday I thank my Father in Heaven for his Son and my Savior Jesus Christ. As I review my life, I have come to the conclusion that I have been loved by our Savior even when I was not living the gospel.
