Hi I'm Jen

My name is Jen. I'm a daughter, a friend, an office manager, and a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel and I do so as often as I get the chance to. I have been fortunate in my life to have been able to travel in choral performance groups. My favorite part of traveling is getting to experience the way others live their lives. A lot of people tend to focus on the differences in other cultures. I like to focus on what we have in common. I like to bake, make up new recipes and sing. I'm the only person I know whose mom had a "no singing at the table" clause growing up.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to the LDS Church at 21. Before that, while I had been active in other churches, I never really, truly felt like I belonged or was in the right place. I never really felt safe, secure, or loved as I knew I deserved to be. One day I decided I wanted to know more about the Latter-Day Saints, or as we are typically called, Mormons. Best decision I've ever made. I've never been more sure of who I am, to whom I belong, and where I'm going next than I am as a Mormon. I'm happy, safe, secure, and most importantly a loved, cherished daughter of the most high God. I have always been. The difference is, now I know and believe that with everything I am.

How I live my faith

I believe living my faith is more than merely performing needed tasks within the church. It's kindness and compassion for others I feel is the most important. It doesn't matter what brings a person, only what you leave with. I love to help out wherever I can even if that means picking up trash on the road side, scrubbing bathrooms, or doing dishes. We all have work and it goes faster when we all do our part.
