Hi I'm Ellie

I am a student, an athlete, and a flautist. I love to laugh. I love the gospel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a family of five children and I have spent my life surrounded by friends who share my religion. I love to be active and play sports with volleyball at the top of my list. I love to listen to music. I am a firm believer in afternoon naps and warm summer days. I believe that life should be enjoyed, not just endured.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have had the Holy Ghost witness that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I have a testimony of the love and guidance our Heavenly Father provides for us on this earth. His greatest desire is for all of His children to once again return to His presence. His gospel gives me direction and helps me understand the purpose of life. I have experienced the power of the priesthood in my own home and know that God is always aware and concerned for the welfare of His children. God has given us many tools to keep us on the strait and narrow path. The scriptures, a living prophet, and the sacrament are just a few examples of why I love to be a Mormon. God speaks to His children today through the prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and He will also speak to YOU, if we will but offer a sincere prayer. I know that God listens and answers each prayer. He loves His children so much, He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for the sins of the world. The atonement is real, and works. I have seen it change my life and the life of many friends. Through Christ, we can be made whole again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing to follow Christ's example. Christ was humble, kind, and full of charity. He lived His life by constantly serving those around Him through the love He had for each individual. I strive to follow Christ, but the only way I can do that is through the atonement of Jesus Christ which helps me repent and gives me strength to do things that are beyond my own ability. I pray to see Heavenly Father's children as He sees them. This helps me have an eternal perspective to see the potential of every child of God. I live my faith by reading God's word every day which can be found in the Bible and the Book of Mormon as well as other scripture. I know as I choose to center my life on Christ, He will help me one day become like Him and Heavenly Father.
