Hi I'm Whitney

I'm in highschool. I play flute. I love to see people smile. I'm a bit of a geek, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love reading. I'm currently writing a book. I'm hoping to get into Yale in a few years when I apply for college. My family members are my best friends. I really really really want to conduct a symphony! Seriously though.. that would be my dream come true (: I started learning how to play flute 3 years ago, and I still love it! I've become part of many "fandoms" to include Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Legend of Zelda, Star Wars, Star Trek, and more (:

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church (both of my parents were active members). However, I choose to continue to be a member of this church because of the guidance and assurance I have received and will receive. I love this gospel because it means I never have to question what I'm going to do. Some day, I will be married in a temple with someone I will get to be with for eternity. I love that we are taught that marriage does not end at death and that families are forever. I will be forever grateful that I have the blessing of knowing that no matter how much I may mess up, I can always come back to a Heavenly Father that loves me.

How I live my faith

I am in a youth group that supports and encourages high moral standards that can lead to a happy and successful life. From time to time, I have the opportunity to play piano during our meetings, and I had the privilege of teaching some of the girls of our organization (ages 12-15) how to conduct music. I have participated in a genealogy conference, and I have learned how to index records so that anyone can find historical records of their ancestors.
