Hi I'm Marie Johnson

I grew up in Murray, Utah. I love books, dancing, and being outside. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up the fourth child out of five in my family - three older sisters and one younger brother. I've lived in the same house my entire life, so I had a lot of neighborhood friends rather than school friends.I work at a small dance studio as a Receptionist/Assistant instructor. I've received my Associates of Science degree in General Studies and am currently trying to nail down a major. I'm leaning toward English because I love to read and think being a book editor someday would be pretty dang awesome. Right now I'm preparing to go on an LDS mission! I'm unbelievably excited as well as slightly terrified.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this Church, but I chose to continue in it and live it because it brings so much peace to my life. The teachings of this Gospel help me live my life in such a way that I know I always have someone to count on - whether it be my family, my ward, or my Heavenly Father to listen to me or help me out in whatever way I need. I choose to stay a part of this Church because I have asked my Father in Heaven whether it and what it teaches is true and I have received a spiritual witness that it is. Learning more about it and living truly brings me joy. I am so grateful to have the Gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

A lot of living my faith is just being a friend to those around me. I'm called as a visiting teacher - as all sisters are in the church. This means that once a month I'm to check up on a certain few sisters in my ward and see that they're doing okay and ask if they need help with anything. Taking care of each other and trying to be understanding of everyone is a big part of living my faith.
