Hi I'm Mitchell Wolfard-Loftin

I'm from Chicago, Smithfild Utah is home! I love football! I'm serving a mission in Alaska! I love my savior and I'm a Mormon!!

About Me

I'm 19 years old and I'm a 6' 4" all around athlete. I love sports! If it gets me moving and challenges me, i'll give it a try! I'm in love with the outdoors! hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing are the best activities in the world! I love the snow and playing in it! I ski, snowboard, snowshoe, and snowmobile! like I said, if it gets me moving i'll do it! I played football and wrestled all four years of high school for Sky View from 09-13. I played Basketball on church and recreation teams sense I can remember. I love doing crazy stuff with "the crew" basically every night, we tore that valley up! the bowling alley is where you will find us on Tuesdays and Fridays then on to Betos for some late night early morning burritos! After my mission I plan to work for the summer then go to BYU-I and play intramural Football for two years and study religious history and become a seminary teacher then transfer to BYU and hopefully play for them. Then eventually get my doctorate and teach at the collegiate level at BYU. teaching and the gospel are my passions, so why not combine them for a career? I'm currently serving a mission in the Alaska Anchorage Mission, I started on march 19th 2014 and will be done in march of 2016. This is the greatest mission in the world! all my life I've loved Alaska and yearned to be here. so I was super stoked and utterly surprised when I opened my call and it said Alaska! I wish nothing more than to please my Savior and my mission will help me do that.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because two missionaries Knocked on my family's door when I was young. my family started going to church and we just loved it! it was everything we were looking for and more! I have a big family, 13 siblings, not all are living and most have special needs and are adopted. so the fact that we are a family centered church and the knowledge of the plan of salvation is just the best. my mom was baptized before all of us. the summer after she was baptized we went to Nauvoo Illinois and toured all around. while my brother and I were in Carthage Jail the spirit was so unbelievably strong as the spirit bore witness to my older brother and me. in that moment we knew with out a doubt that Joesph Smith jr. was a prophet of god and that the church was true. we were baptized a bit after that. I was about 8 and a half and I haven't looked back! over the years my faith has been tested, but time and time again the spirit bears sweet witness to me that the church is true. I know Jesus is the Christ and he Atoned for our sins and he felt all of our pains, sorrows, and ailments. I also know he leads this church. It is HIS church, we are members of the church of JESUS CHRIST. The plan of salvation is real and if we follow it, we will be guided home to the Father that loves us and gave us life. I'm a mormon because it all makes sense. As i study and learn more, the spirit bears witness to me that what i learn and what i'm being taught is true. I love the quote by Elder Holland, "In this Church, what we know will always trump what we do not know." it's true. I may not know everything, only God does, but the things I do know. they keep me going, they keep me happy, they keep me faithful, they let me know that god loves me. And that is the biggest one. I am a mormon, because my Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ love me, and this church and the principles we lead me to that love for eternity. I bear this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith as Christ wants me to. With love to all of my brothers and sisters, no matter what differences we may have or whether or not they treat me the same. I try to be that example for others to follow; as I follow Jesus Christ. I live my faith with all the power of my being and all the energy of my soul. I let it define me. I do not let the world define me. my faith means everything to me, I live it so god would be proud of me, I live it to bless others. my faith brings me joy and pure lasting happiness. in the words of Nephi, "I must obey." so i try my best and Christ will do the rest. I help and sever others. I bring Christ's light into the world. and that is how i live my faith, by being an example and following the greatest example that has ever lived. Christ. I am currently serving a full time mission in Alaska and I love it! It lets me live my faith full time and not have to worry about the world! and I get to bring it to others:)
