Hi I'm Holden

I was raised in Utah, I love people, knowledge, life, and God. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love the outdoors. Camping, hiking, shooting, hunting, fishing, boating, off-roading, etc. I am a designer of all sorts of things like cars, jets, houses, watches, phones, boats, weapons, furniture, characters, video games, exo-suits, etc. I love science of all types, mainly Biology, chemistry, anatomy, physics. I grew up with no friends until I was 14 and found the perfect best friend. I was raised by my single mom, grandma, and aunt. Since my mom is a single mother and I have two younger brothers, I was seen as the father figure in the household all my life, I just wasn't ever respected for it so I learned to cooperate with my brothers rather than dictate. My parents have never lived together, they divorced when I was 8 and a restraining order was placed on my dad. at age 16 my mom married my step dad and a year later was divorced 3 weeks before I left on my mission. I struggled the beginning of high school with Anti-socialism and depression, and then later when moved 3 times in 2 years to a new school as well I graduated from HS.

Why I am a Mormon

Because this is the only true church that Jesus Christ leads himself. It is the same gospel that Jesus himself set up 2000 years ago and the organization has not changed because God is a God of Order and his ways are perfect. I've come to know of a surety of things to be true by continual prayer and gaining answers from the Holy Spirit. Also from the constant confirming that what is taught makes more and more sense as it connects to everything. I am a science guy, and I've found direct correlation with science and this gospel, because God is science, he created us in his own time. Nothing can dissuade me from this gospel and it brings me peace to know exactly where I am going and who I can leave my trust in.

How I live my faith

I am a current missionary for the church, and serve the Lord 24/7. It never has been a greater blessing than to be able to donate 100% of my time to His work and be able to help people out. I enjoy serving others and bringing the happiness of the gospel to them. My duty is to bring information regarding: Who we are, what we are doing here, where we are going, eternal families, and much much more.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace is the Enabling power of Jesus Christ's Atonement. We can access his Grace by being first: humble, which allows us to be taught. Then we are to be Obedient, with all diligence, and doing every action with Faith in Christ who's grace is what moves us forward. And we do all this with all of our "heart, might, mind and strength" (D&C 4:2). We are taught in Moroni 10:32 "deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ". To love God is to be Obedient, to deny ourselves of ungodliness is to repent, and to repent you must be humble with faith in Christ. In turn, you are given his grace which strengthens, perfects, helps, and protects you. Show more Show less
