Hi I'm Rich

I am a father of five and grandfather of 15 (soon to be 16). I am an Air Force veteran and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently retired after a thirty-year career in the US Air Force and nine years as a teacher in public high school. I keep myself busy as a volunteer in veterans organizations and a children's gardening program in my home town.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were faithful Mormons. They taught me in my youth to trust in the Lord. While I had the disposition to believe their teaching, I desired and sought to know for myself the truth of what they taught. While logic and reason sustained my faith for a season, it was not until I sought a witness through diligent prayer and study of the Book of Mormon over a period of many months that I gained the sure testimony through the Holy Ghost that it truly is the word of God and another testament of Jesus Christ, that the Prophet Joseph Smith was truly a Prophet of God, and His true church had been restored to the earth. I have felt the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, for me personally, and know that it is through Him that we are redeemed and given the opportunity to return, as resurrected beings, to our Heavenly Parents.

How I live my faith

To me, faith is something to be lived every day. Prayer and scripture study are an everyday habit. I share resources for yard and home care with my neighbors. We work together and learn from each other. I try to keep a smile and positive outlook to uplift everyone I meet each day. I try to teach gospel principles by the way I live and the example I set. I have been blessed by opportunities to serve in positions that I did not seek but gave me growth experiences and a chance to build the faith and testimony of others.
