Hi I'm Cassie

Reno girl. I live with happiness. I live with morals. I love family, friends and being a missionary! I am a Mormon!

About Me

As of now, I am a missionary serving in the South Carolina Columbia Mission. Its one of the greatest blessings to be here to serve. I want people to know the Love of God. I want them to know that through Jesus Christ they can be forgiven for their sins. I know that ultimately, through the gospel of Jesus Christ, anyone can be eternally happy. I know with all my might that the gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone. I know it can change lives because it continues to change mine. Outside of the mission, I attend college at Brigham Young University Idaho. I am majoring in Marriage and Family studies. I absolutely love being with kids and families. I love spending time with others. Rock Climbing is the biggest hobby but I love playing sports and being active. I have been a member of the church my entire life and can honestly say it has blessed my life more than I will fully know.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I was baptized when I was 8 years old. My conversion story is not one that happened simply because of one experience or one scripture or one person that changed my life. Its a story that has been happening since the day I was baptized. The opportunities and experiences I have had throughout my life are because I have had the gospel in my life. Because of this restored gospel, I have been able to be truly happy, even when hardships arise. I continue to follow the teachings and the doctrine of His church because I know it to be right. I have testimony that this is the true church on the earth today. I have a testimony of God's love for every one of His children and that He has a plan for all of us. I have a testimony that Christ is there to comfort us in all things. I know that the Book of Mormon is real and true. Having a testimony of this gospel is a big blessing to me. I lean on it when questions or experiences arise in my life. I lean on it to know that when things get hard, this life is only temporal and Heavenly Father is preparing us for the eternal.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the gospel. I live my faith by meeting new people and trying to help make them feel welcome and feel embraced. Ive had many callings that involve a copious amount of people which I love. I live my faith by being an example and showing love to those I come in contact with. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is to be a disciple of Christ. I live my faith by inviting others to come unto Christ and help them know and receive His restored gospel. I live my faith by being a missionary! I get to share the gospel all the time!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

My favorite scripture of all time is Moroni 10:4-5. I have come to know more the reality of this promise that as we ask sincerely, not out of curiosity but a real desire to know, it will be given to us. I have a testimony that if you have a true desire to know that the gospel is true, the Holy Ghost will give you that confirmation. We can have our faith strengthened and show Heavenly Father that we have a desire to know by obeying His commandments. This church is true. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

God has always called prophets. He is unchanging and wants to guide us. A prophet is one who hold the authority and power to act in Gods name for the salvation of His children. God reveals His will to His prophet. The prophet on the earth today is President Thomas S. Monson. I sustain him as a prophet, seer and revelator. He is chosen. As we heed His counsel and obey we can all know with surety that what comes from his lips is the will of the Lord. Show more Show less
