Hi I'm Tasha

I grew up in Hurricane Utah. I come from a family of 5 girls who love to sing and dance Polynesian style! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sister to 4 beautiful girls! I love doing hair and makeup with them and all that good girly stuff. I work as a dental assistant for a pediatric dentist and I love to work with children. I love cooking and baking for others and love to try and make different foods from my culture and other cultures around the world. I may not be good at it, but it is always a fun thing to do! I love spending time with my family and having big parties with them! I love talking with my parents and hanging out with my family, watching movies, dancing, playing video games, going to church functions, and just enjoying each others company. I play volleyball and basketball, but I wish I knew how to play soccer and badminton! I love to sing with my sisters while my very talented mother plays the piano. I play the ukulele and do dances of the Polynesian Islands. I love my culture and love to learn about other cultures! I went to college for one semester and then decided college was not what I wanted to do right after high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am always reminded in my prayers and church callings that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real and that they love me. I have grown up in this Gospel and have never known any different, but I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church because we have the full restored Gospel. I chose to be baptized as a member of this church when I was 8 years old because I was taught about the life of Jesus Christ and felt the love that I could always have if I became part of His church. Even today I can feel the love of my Savior Jesus Christ. I still listen to and follow what the Lord and Jesus Christ want me to do because I always feel their love and receive unexpected blessings that make my life more wonderful than it already is. I always feel their love when I try and do good. Especially if I am struggling with something, I know that if I turn to my Savior he will always welcome me with open arms and give me the comfort in the moment I need it most. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves us. I know that God sent his Only Begotten Son to Atone for our sins. I know that even though I will continue to make mistakes in my life, the our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ will always help me to find my way back to them. I know that God sent his son to the earth because he loves us. And I know that Jesus Christ loved us so much that he gave his life for us. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet that fully restored this Gospel and has blessed many lives because of it. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet today and that he receives revelation from God for us so that we may be blessed. I know that one day I will be able to live with and live like God. And I know that those who come to know The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be able to as well. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I know that they love me. Knowing these things makes my life happier and makes me want to do better every day.

How I live my faith

In church I teach a nursery class. The kids are ages 1-3. I love teaching them! They are at an age where they are just beginning to feel and understand the love of our Savior. It's so fun! Me and my teaching partners get to play with them and teach them how to share and learn about our Lord and Jesus Christ. Sometimes the lessons we teach seem so simple, but I know that the kids are learning so much. I always learn something new when I teach a lesson. Being around kids who are in such an innocent stage of their life reminds me that it's okay to take a break from the stresses of the world by playing a fun game and eating a snack. I love being a nursery leader because it's helping me prepare to be a loving mother.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

We are not required to serve missions, but it is a privilege to able to be a representative of our Savior Jesus Christ for 18 months to 2 years full-time. We are able to share the Gospel and the love of our Lord. "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations" (Matthew 28:19). Generally missionaries serve from the age 18 to 19 years old. But there are also senior missionaries. Missionaries serve from 18 months to 2 years. Missionaries don't get paid for their service and it is voluntary. There are missionaries from around the world that serve wherever the Church calls them. While serving full-time, missionaries are official representatives of the Church. I know that with my experience now as a missionary in Argentina, it really is a privilege to talk about and share this Gospel with these wonderful people. I wasn't required to come here and no one made me, but I know that missionary service will not only bless the people I am helping in this moment in life, but in generations to come.
