Hi I'm Joshua Steward

I am a husband, father, accountant, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Northern Virgina, just outside of Washington D.C. and I am a financial consultant to the federal government. My family consists of my lovely wife, and three adorable children. I did not join the LDS Church until I was 17 in Upstate New York, after which I served a mission in Salt Lake City, Utah. I enjoy spending time with family, reading, watching sports, and playing ice hockey.

Why I am a Mormon

I have lived many years of my life without the Gospel. I was raised in a Catholic home, so it wasn't a home with no religion, but there was a special Spirit that came into our home when the missionaries came. There was not really one moment when I just noticed that the church was true (no burning bush here), but it was a slow progression and I saw the way that my life changed (and I changed) as a result of living the Gospel. I know that Jesus Christ died for me, and that at least one of those lashing was as a result of my disobedience. But I feel the love the Lord has for me, and I try each and every day to live up to the potential to have my family and I return to live in Heavenly Father's presence again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those that I associate with each day. I work with many people who are not members of the LDS Church and I view each day as a time to be a positive influence in their lives. Washington D.C. is a very busy place and requires a lot of long hours at work. By being able to keep calm, survive without coffee, and still have time to spend with my family, I have the opportunity to bear testimony each day of the importance of family support and the Lord blessing me in my life to be able to find time to meet all of my work, family, and church resposibilities.
