Hi I'm Kelsi Luna-Llanes

Im Colorado born, Texas raised and California bound and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love hiking the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado with my family, friends and dog. I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in sunny southern California!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of this church because it makes me feel happy! I have been a member of the church since I was 8. I know that ever since then, my testimony just keeps growing. I have never had that aha moment that we all want to have, but I know that all the little things that got me here have strengthened me and are from God. My favorite song that we sing in the church is "Lead Kindly Light." It tells a story of a person that wanted to see all that God had to offer him and wanted him to do. But by the end of the song, the person realizes that if he just trusts in God, "one step is enough for me." I know that when we follow the spiritual promptings from God, it will lead us to happiness! This is a gospel of progression, learning and growth. Through this gospel, we can all truly understand our purpose and role here on earth as God's children! I know why I'm here and where I'm going because of this gospel.

How I live my faith

Service is a huge part of the church! I love serving others because it's what Christ would do. Serving others helps us to see and feel of the love God has for ALL his children! Being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the most wonderful feeling you could ever have. I feel as I've been on my mission, I have been able to pray and ask Heavenly Father what the people around me need to hear and know. He then blesses me with a little insight to the love that he has for them and what exactly they need to hear at the moment. Being a missionary is the best decision I have ever made. You serve the Lord by serving your fellow men. We get to be around so many people and so many circumstances and learn that God loves all His children no matter what. I have learned that we are God's hands.
