Hi I'm Becca

I grew up in Colorado. I want to make a difference in the world. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and am currently attending college. I am the youngest of four siblings. I am an aunt. I played lacrosse in high school and love crafts such as knitting and hat-making. I love spending time with my friends and family and giving back to those around me. I am an eager learner, and tend to become engrossed in topics that interest me. This mostly pertains to religious and sometimes philosophical topics.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that the LDS church contains the fulness of His gospel, and is the only church with the proper authority to perform holy ordinances in the modern dispensation. I have felt the spirit of the Lord bare witness to me of the great principles and truths of the gospel. I know that this church has the proper authority given unto men by God the Eternal Father to help bring to pass the wonderful blessings promised us. This gospel, and the blessings therein, fill my heart with joy uncharacteristic of this world, and are a manifestation of empowering love for those around me and for the divine nature of God. This love prompts me to share my testimony to you and to many others willing to open their hearts and come unto the Savior. This church is true. The Savior lives, and loves all of us. We are all his siblings, and the spiritual children of our Heavenly Father and our Heavenly Mother. We are on this earth that we may receive bodies and learn for ourselves the difference between sorrow and joy, pain and pleasure, love and hatred, truth and error. This life is our opportunity to prove ourselves as worthy and responsible persons that deserve the blessings of returning to Our Father's presence and becoming like Him and our Heavenly Mother in our behaviors and abilities. I would also like to invite all of you to humbly and earnestly continue searching for answers to questions, that you may be enlightened in the ways of the Lord. If you continue to actively search for these answers to the best of your ability, the Lord will provide a way for you to learn these answers for yourself. He will not fail you in your hour of need. His love for you is infinite, and he desires that you come to him. One of the best ways I know to do this is to continue to search for the truths of His gospel, and to take action that you may come unto Him and that you may receive the blessings available in this life and the life hereafter.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping covenants I have made with the Lord in the temple, by continuously building my testimony through seeking for answers to my never ending questions. These answers come in various forms including insights shared by other members of the church, through listening to devotionals and talks given by apostles and other righteous men and women, through earnest scripture study, and through various other means that inspire me to do that which is good in the eyes of the Lord. I am far from perfect, but I hope to one day be close. As I continue to serve the Lord, I will be enriched with the many blessings he has provided for mankind. These blessings will enable me to develop divine traits and characteristics and be made perfect through the Lord and his ways. Ways that I have chosen to manifest my faith include becoming an LDS missionary. I will invite people who are willing and eager to come unto Christ and teach them all that they desire to know about the perfect plan of salvation laid out for mankind. I will bear my testimony unto them, but most of all I will help them find happiness through the Savior and through them making covenants with Him preparatory to the fulfillment of the plan of salvation.
