Hi I'm Kassie

I grew up in Southern California. I am currently attending Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Southern California, but I am currently attending Brigham Young University in Utah. My plan is to major in math education so I can become a high school math teacher. I absolutely love playing sports! I grew up playing soccer, but converted to water polo and swim when I started high school. Although I no longer play sports competitively, I participated on intramural kickball, inner tube water polo, and soccer teams at BYU. My typical day consists of classes, homework, and Netflix.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness and comfort the gospel gives me. I know that we have a Heavenly Father who knows us individually and loves us more than we can comprehend. He wants us to succeed. He blesses us daily. The gospel brings so much purpose into my life. The things I learn as a member of this church constantly motivate me to better myself and serve the people around me. I want to reach my divine potential so that I can become the person God intended me to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to better myself and serve those around me. I enjoy working with children, and have volunteered in elementary schools, soup kitchens, and as an AYSO soccer coach. I try to maintain a positive attitude even though it is sometimes unsuccessful. I think that smiling makes more of a difference than we think :) Each day I work to uphold the values I have been taught as a member of the church. Gordon B. Hinckley, a former prophet of our church, stated, "You are good. But it is not enough just to be good. You must be good for something. You must contribute good to the world. The world must be a better place for your presence. And the good that is in you must be spread to others...." That is my goal!
