Hi I'm Shannon

I was born in Rhode Island. I'm a student and a photography lover. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student studying business and French. I taught ballet, jazz and lyrical ballet for a few years, I am very passionate about learning new languages, I love to learn about photography and take photos with my grandfather, and I love baseball!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I just went to church like I was supposed to and I wasn't really sure why I did things the way I did. I always felt behind everyone in church because I didn't know all the people in the bible, and I was never very good at understanding things in the scriptures. I went through a period of time where it was hard for me physically to be able to make it to church. Living in a home with a mother and step-father that weren't members, it was difficult to make it to my church meeting and have other members over. Not going to church, I felt like something was missing in my life but I wasn't really sure what it was. After that period of time I went right to school. The spirit, and love of Christ that I felt there was so over whelming. I could feel God's arms wrapped around me. I began to really read and study the scriptures, and I went to church every sunday and continue to. With this gospel I feel closer to the Lord, I feel more thankful for my blessings and I feel great sense of peace and happiness. I have felt life without the gospel and it is one that I never want to go back to. This gospel brings you happiness everyday. There are certain rules we follow, but they are there to protect us and keep us safe and I know that. I live by this gospel because it helps me to be a kind, honest, and obedient person. It helps me to be healthy and safe and I could not be anymore grateful for it.

How I live my faith

Something that I try to do everyday is show the pure love of Christ to others, whether it be through a thoughtful text message or call, the simple act of holding the door open, or just smiling. I find that I live my faith the best when I am trying to show Christ's love for others.
