Hi I'm Cassi

I am a teacher. I am a lover of the arts. I am a truth seeker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed to be a part of a large family; I have 5 brothers and 2 sisters, along with loving parents. After leaving home I really recognized how much I took my family for granted. Although they are imperfect they are so good. They are supportive. They express love. They sympathize. They make me laugh until I cry. I recognize that not everyone grew up in a family like this, but I am so glad that I can try and create this same family culture among my friends, in my classroom, and someday with a family of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the LDS church since I was baptized at age 8. A majority of my family is LDS and has been for generations, however, this is not why I'm a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I believe that I have a loving Heavenly Father who has a divine plan for my life. I am a Mormon because I have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who showed me how to live happily and who provided a way for me to repent, change, and live with my family forever. I am a Mormon because I can find eternal truth and understanding from the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This Holy Ghost/Spirit allows me to understand things for myself, I can actually feel that something is right when I pray about it!

How I live my faith

I am currently a member of a young single adult ward where 18-29 year olds make up the congregation. We each take on the different jobs and responsibilities that keep our ward running. Participating in a ward allows me to gain friends that encourage me to be my best self. I am blessed to serve as the ward's choir director. Every month we perform in church, hoping to invite the spirit of the Holy Ghost into our meetings. The Holy Ghost allows me to receive answers to the deepest questions I have, feel comfort when I am faced with hard situations, and it helps me to feel indescribable peace when I learn for myself that something is eternally TRUE!
