Hi I'm Nile Miskin

Hello, I live north of Idaho Falls in Coltman on a piece of land that my great grandfather homesteaded, and I'm a mormon

About Me

I was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I have lived here for the most part of my life. I grew up on a small farm north of Idaho Falls in the Fairview/Coltman area. I enjoyed farming and learning the value of work. I still love the farm life although I do not farm. We live on a 4 acre piece of land that my great grandfather and family homesteaded. I married a wonderful woman, Faye, who cares about our family and wants the best for them. She is my eternal companion even after this life. We have 5 children, 3 sons and 2 daughters. We are blessed to have 12 grandchildren

Why I am a Mormon

As I was reading in 3rd Nephi of the Book of Mormon of when the Savior, Jesus Crist, after His Crucifixion visited the people here in America I received a strong burning in my bosom that it had happened and that it was true. I know that the teachings in the Bible and the Book of Mormon are for our benefit and help us to know how God expects us to live our lives so we can return to be with Him and our family. I know that there was a people who lived here on the American continent and that God instructed them of how they should live, just as he instructs us today. I enjoy serving others and feel that I am serving God as I do that.

How I live my faith

I was raised as a Mormon and as a young child I told my parents one Sunday I did not want to go to church. They told me that was fine but, but if I didn't go to church I couldn't do anything else that day that I wanted to do. I decided to go to church with the family that day and have gone ever since. I have served in many potions in the church and I have been able to serve with great man. As I have served as a clerk I have also enjoy meeting and working with some of the general authorities of the church.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

No mater what you are studying, the Book of Mormon, Bible, or teaching of the living prophets. Just sincerely Pray to our Father in Haven to know if it is true or not. If it is from God you will have a peaceful feeling about it. Show more Show less
