Hi I'm Christina

I grew up in Massachusetts, I love sports & the east coast, I'm currently serving a mission in Taiwan & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying linguistics in hopes of becoming a speech pathologist one day. I'm currently taking a small break from school and am serving a mission in Taipei, Taiwan. I love all things that have to do with Chinese culture (which has been a huge blessing on my mission). One of my favorite things to do is watch sports with my family, or on my own. I am a huge sports fan, and anyone that knows me will tell you that I don't tend to hide my passion for sports. Some of my fondest memories include sitting down on the couch watching a car race or a football game with my family. I'm the oldest of five kids and I absolutely love my family. They are some of the very most important people in my life (immediate and extended). I absolutely love my home state, and the city of Boston. I enjoy exploring the city and eating all the food that Boston has to offer. I love to travel and find new places, making memories with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know I am continuously becoming better because of this faith. I was born into the church so I've been surrounded by it my entire life. However, living on the east coast has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. There aren't very many Mormons in Massachusetts so I had to decide whether or not I was going to follow the teachings of the church. Being surrounded by people whose values didn't exactly match up with mine was extremely tough, but because I decided to stay true to what I knew was right, I saw God's help in my life so much more. I have come to know for myself that through this gospel, I am a better person. Even though days can be so hard, and there were days in high school where I felt completely alone, through this gospel I know that I am never alone. I know that Jesus Christ is always there for us, we just need to reach out, call out, or cry out to Him and He will be there to comfort us. He will never leave us alone, and that is one of the greatest feelings in the entire world. I am a Mormon because I know that I have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who loves me more than I can fathom. I am a Mormon because I have a Heavenly Father who actually listens to me and actually wants to listen to me. I am a Mormon because I know that through Christ, all things are possible, even when it seems like hope has been lost. I am a Mormon because through Christ, I can become the very best version of me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being active in my community. I love to teach people about my beliefs, whether it be in church as a teacher or just sharing the gospel with friends. Through my interactions with other people I try my best to be the very best example of what I believe. One of my favorite ways of living what I believe is through service. I find great joy in serving in my community and serving my friends. I feel that as I do this, not only do I live what I believe, I also grow closer to Christ and become a better person.
