Hi I'm Michael

I like to play sports, play guitar, and am a huge race fan. And you got it, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm very competitive and love to play sports of every kind, but my top sport is racing. I've been a race fan ever since I was little. My dad used to take me to the race track what seemed to me like almost every weekend. I used to watch the cars race around the track and dreamed of one day racing. I am now studying to be a mechanical engineer in hopes that I will one day be able to design race cars and be apart of that industry. I like to play the guitar, I don't know a lot on it but i'm learning and I actually enjoy working out. I've been big into fitness since I was a teenager and recently got certified as a personal trainer. Now I enjoy creating workouts for others to help them reach their goals. But most importantly, I'm a Mormon and we're the happiest, healthiest people on the earth!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member my entire life. My parents are both converts to the church but joined long before I was born. Even though I've been a member my whole life I had to gain a testimony for myself. When I was little my dad used to always tell me that I need to learn for myself that this church was true. I never really understood the significance of that until I turned 14 and began reading from the Book of Mormon. I read from it every day after school, at least a chapter a day. I always prayed to know whether or not it was true before I began reading each day. After about 3 months my answer came in a somewhat unnoticeable way. If I had not been looking for it I might have missed it. The more I read the more I began to feel that it was right. I felt at peace and something just seemed to say that this was from the Lord. At that particular time I still did not 100% have a testimony of it but over the years my faith has grown and my knowledge increased as I've applied the principles of the gospel in my life. I feel that if you want to know if this really is the church of Jesus Christ then you have to "test the waters" and apply it's teachings. The results of applying such teachings will be all the proof one needs to discover that this truly is the Lord's church once again established on the earth. I know that this church is true. It is far more than another religion. It is a way of life that leads to true happiness.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the president of the young men's organization teaching youth every Sunday and Wednesday night. I live my faith by being an example to them, although many times they are the example to me. I try to help others as best I can because I know that's what the Lord would do if He had the same opportunity. Although I'm not perfect, I strive to always do what is right and to do what the Savior would do. I follow the council our church leaders give us every six months and always make it a point to attend my church meetings. I do all of these things not because I think by doing them I'll get a better spot in heaven or that I have to do them to be saved or for some other reward, but I do them because the Lord has asked me to and because I love Him I want to do what He asks. And there is nothing more satisfying than that.
