Hi I'm Anna

I love adventures. I'm a Filipina, born and raised in San Diego. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an average starving college student. I tend to jump before I look. I work with candy half the day. I enjoy spontaneity. I love to take random trips and meet people. I like to think my family are the Bennets from Pride and Prejudice since I come from a family of five girls. I often dance crazy, enjoy sports, sing bad, hike to beautiful places, eat wild foods, and laugh uncontrollably.

Why I am a Mormon

I like being truly happy. I was raised in this church and for most of my childhood, I didn't even question there being any other religion. When I was in middle school and high school, things began to change, I went through dark times. People and things I used to be sure of seemed to flip overnight into chaos. It was summer, I remember sitting, crying and praying with anything I could muster to Heavenly Father asking if He was there and if this church was right. Up until then I'd never felt the Spirit, it was distinct, this feeling of peace and warmth, almost like a glow. A confirmation of comfort and love. It was then I knew for myself that this church was true. More importantly that through those trials I learned we have a Savior who atoned for us, so we might not go through them alone. He is there everyday to help us, even in small concerns. He continues to do so in my life, even today. I promise, this gospel is and brings happiness. This gospel is real, eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I go to church each week and attend a Filipino congregation in San Diego. I taught a kid's class each Sunday about Jesus. I read to a blind lady every week and love visiting old people (they make me smile). I do my best to inspire young women to understand their value against the world's view. I try to care for people as Christ did, and find that little tiny place in their heart no one knows knows about. The part that makes us human and more lovable. I love spreading happiness, which I am choosing to give 1.5 years to serve the Lord as his missionary. This is my next adventure.
