Hi I'm Michelle

I've got a thing for gardens and bees. My three adorable kids keep me on my toes but I sure love it.

About Me

My husband and I met in elementary school where we competed to be the best at everything and had big crushes on each other. We now have three wonderful, beautiful kids. I love to travel and meet people of all backgrounds and I lived in Nicaragua for 18 months while serving a mission for the LDS church. I also love singing, gardening, hiking, and creating things I believe to be useful and beautiful for my home. One of my favorite things to do is invite family and friends over to play games and eat dessert. I'm passionate about loving people and empowering them to be the best they can be.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the teachings of Jesus Christ and true and bring the most joy into my life. I am a Mormon because my church teaches me that I am of infinite worth and value as a person and as a woman. I am a Mormon because I know that God has an all encompassing plan for mankind. I am a Mormon because I know that central to that plan is Christ's mission to this earth and his ultimate sacrifice for the salvation of man. I am a Mormon because I know that God has always revealed his plan to prophets so that everyone could be instructed and benefitted. I am a Mormon because I know that Christ established His doctrine and priesthood while on the earth and that doctrine and priesthood was restored to it's full and perfect form once again through a prophet named Joseph Smith. I am a Mormon because I know God loves ALL of his children from every place and every time throughout history and He made it possible for us to become like Him and come home to Him. I am a Mormon because I have dedicated my life to helping Him accomplish that purpose.

How I live my faith

I have been able to serve in my congregation in many ways including organizing and directing music, teaching the youth, preparing gospel lessons, participating in leadership councils, and visiting members of our ward. I love my church's focus on individuals and how to help and strengthen them. That's why I love the opportunities to really get to know my neighbors and serve them. It feels good to understand a little more deeply how God loves each individual by learning about them and trying my best to make their lives a little more joyful. I know that is what God would have me do. We are here to take care of each other.
