Hi I'm Phillip

I'm a high school math teacher, have a beautiful wife, and a father of four; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in California. I was the first son and grandson of my family to graduate from college. I'm a math teacher and I love pie and pi. I served a mission in Italy where I grew to love the Italian people and language. I enjoy sports, baseball and football primarily. Food is good, seafood is bad. I'm just a normal guy that tries to be a good and honest person.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me a better person. It has given me a better understanding of myself and my potential. My perspective on life is definitely different from most peoples' and that makes is easier to say 'no' to the bad things and 'yes' to the good things if life. Most importantly I am a member of this church because I know it to be true. I have a testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith that I have acquired on my own. It is mine. I cannot say that I do not have it, and thus I must live in accordance of it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good person and doing the right thing. I feel that being a good example is the best sermon that you can give. I have served various roles in the church for a number of years. I have been a teacher, worked with youth and am currently serving in a leadership role in my local congregation. Being an active member of this church has allowed me to give many hours of service to others in need and the community.
