Hi I'm Parker Moss

I grew up in Utah and Arizona. I am an Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I began playing soccer when I was a small child, at the age of 3. I have played on recreational and competitive soccer teams, as well as all four years on my high school soccer team. I played the trumpet in the concert and marching bands for my high school. I love being able to share my talent with others. Our family is a licensed foster family and I have had the opportunity to love and care for the many children who have come into our home. I have learned so much about children, life, love, and family from the children we've taken into our home. I have 3 biological sisters and we care for up to 3 foster children at any given time. I joined the boy scouting program when I was eight years old and just recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Currently, I am preparing to serve a full time mission, to help spread the gospel to the children of our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have had the opportunity to receive many blessings from God through the Atonement, scripture study, and by keeping the commandments. I know that the this is the true church, and that Jesus Christ is my Savior and older Brother. I love my Savior, I know that He came to this earth and lived and died for me. He suffered for my sins in the Garden of Gethsemane. I attend church faithfully every week, I attend my seminary class every day, I read the scriptures and pray every day because I know that is what Heavenly Father wants me to do. I know my Savior and Heavenly Father love me and I am humbled by how much they truly care. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel on this earth. I know that he had questions about which church to join when he was a boy. I know that he knelt in prayer to receive answers to his questions. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith in the grove in which he prayed. I KNOW that when I pray, my prayers are always answered. I know that Joseph Smith was given power to translate the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. These are some of the reasons I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They are the reasons I am Mormon - the reasons why I plan to share the gospel with others while I am on my mission. I am Mormon so that I can be with my family and my Savior for eternity.

How I live my faith

It is important for me to attend and participate fully in my church meetings every Sunday. I try very hard to live the things I am taught. I try to live my life in a way that is pleasing to my Savior. He set an example for me and I do my best to live how He would have me live. I work very hard every day to be an example to the people I come in contact with and school and work and in my daily life. I attend classes for the 16- and 17-year olds in church (Sunday School and classes designed specifically for the young men). I serve as the Secretary in my Young Men class. I have the opportunity to help and be friends with the other young men in our class. I also help teach the class, when I am asked. Being able to teach the message of the gospel has been a great blessing in my life. I attend early morning seminary 5 days a week. This is a religion class organized for the youth of our church. This class is the highlight of my school day. It is the perfect way to begin (5:45 AM) each of my days. I get to learn about the Savior, His plan for us, and so many wonderful things He wants me to learn. I have been blessed to serve as the seminary president for my Senior year. I have been able to help plan activities and other special classes/meetings for the youth in our seminary. I have the opportunity to visit other families in our congregation with my dad. I love being able to visit these families every month. We check on them to see if they are doing well or if they need anything, and to deliver a spiritual message to them. I have made many great friendships by serving the families in our congregation.
