Hi I'm Belle Strickland

I'm a daughter, friend, student, and Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Florida until I moved out to go to school. I attended college at BYU for a year and then chose to serve a mission. I am proudly serving the Lord in the Colorado Denver South mission. I enjoy sewing, cooking, baking, hiking, going on adventures, and dancing. I love helping people find joy and learn about the most important things in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. It was nice growing up with the word of God taught in my home. I am not a Mormon because my parents make me. I am a Mormon because I know the truth. I have searched the scriptures and prayed to my Father in Heaven to know what is true. One thing that I know with out a doubt, is that Jesus Christ died for me. He went through what is called the Atonement. Here he felt every pain any one has felt and saved us from any sin we could commit. When he did this, he bled from every pore. The next day, he was crucified. In three days, he rose from the dead. Christ did this for me, for you, for every single person that has ever lived, and will live on this Earth. I have felt His influence in my life so much. I see His mercy and blessings in my life every single day. Through all the troubles and darkness in this world, my Savior helps me through. He helps me see the goodness not only in myself, but in the people around me too. Through Christ, I am able to be a better person. There is a scripture in the Book of Mormon, in Moroni 10:32 that reads, "Come unto Christ and be perfected in Him" That is exactly why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because no matter what happens in my life, this gospel brings me closer to my Savior, my Redeemer, my light.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in several different ways. One important portion of living the gospel to me, is keeping my standards. Most people my age do not up hold the same beliefs. Sometimes it is difficult to do what is right but I know the amazing difference it has made in my life. The standards are a huge influence in my life including things such as modesty and language. Another way I live my faith is by always striving to be like my Savior. Of course, I am not perfect in any way, but I try my best. I try to be the best I can and follow His lead. That's the most important part of living my faith to me.
