Hi I'm Alyssa Greenwood

World traveler. Sports lover. Ice-cream eater. Christ follower. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 6 children. I love being an older sister! My family is very important to me. Growing up I moved all over the U.S. and the world. My parents love to travel and they have passed that love down to me. I have been to almost 30 countries and hope to visit A LOT more in the future! I am studying Exercise Science at BYU and hope to one day work in the medical field. I love playing rugby and soccer, as well as running! I am preparing to serve a mission in Resistencia, Argentina. I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring people closer to Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the church to be true. I have felt it so many times and I have seen the difference in my life by keeping the commandments and following Christ. I am not perfect, but I have never had any doubts about whether or not this church is true. I don't know everything, but I do know that Christ lived here on earth. I know that He performed all kinds of miracles. He healed the sick, raised the dead. He died for me and you so that we can be forgiven for our wrong doings and so that we can live with our families and friends again after this life. I know that God loves us. We can pray to Him and He will answer us through the Holy Spirit. I know that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ. He also translated the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have felt it and love the peace it brings when I read it. This knowledge has brought me so much peace in my life. I don't know where I would be without this church. I am so grateful for my grandparent's decision to join this church many years ago!

How I live my faith

Growing up I was involved with the church a lot! I worked as a leader to help those my age and plan activities. As a Freshman at BYU, I was a leader of the women's group at my church. I was able to help the young women with needs that they had and help organize lessons for church every Sunday to be given. Now I am about to serve a mission in order to help others come unto Christ and feel the happiness that comes from being a member of this church! Service is very important to me! I spend a lot of time helping those around me. I try to be aware of others needs and help them.
