Hi I'm Emily Ann

I was born and raised in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada! I love the outdoors and hiking with my dogs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am very motivated when it comes to education and love learning and growing as a student. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to start my higher education in high school and completed an Associates Degree by the time I was eighteen. I am passionate about music and have taken voice lesson since I was a child and love to hear and enjoy uplifting music. In addition, I am an avid hiker and enjoy running and exploring the world around me. When I was in high school I completed my first marathon and hope to keep my body in well enough shape to complete several more throughout my life! One day I hope to complete nursing school and work with others to help them achieve a higher standard of health and living.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church and most of my family are active members in the gospel. I continue to follow this path of living because I know without a doubt certain truths. I have had my doubts, my dark days, and even years, trails that seemed hopeless, and times where I thought God had forsaken me. For me, it has been made clear that once you know something through the spirit; once a piece of truth has touched your heart, it cannot be untouched. I know beyond a doubt that there exists a God in heaven that created this Earth and begot each one of us as Spirit sons and daughters and knows each one of us intimately and infinitely. He knows what are hurts are, He knows how each pain and struggle, no matter how personal, confused, or unique they may seem, feels. He knows them and shares them with us through the power of the everlasting Atonement of Jesus Christ. There exists a plan, a plan of Happiness that God has orchestrated that provides a path for each one of His children to return to Him and live with Him and our families throughout the eternities. I love my Heavenly Father and have faith in His plan for me. I will follow Him throughout every struggle, every heartache, every joy, every triumph and every moment in my life because He lives. He lives, He loves us, He loves you, and He aches to have you return to His embrace once again. I know these things to be true. And this I leave my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel and the love of our Father in Heaven in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

How I live my faith

I currently do not hold a calling in the church but do enjoy participating in church and community events where I can actively help others with a hands on approach. I can recall one such event where I helped to plan and execute a youth conference for my stake where we planned service activities at an old folks home. There was a weekend of events, speakers, and themes that I got to help plan and set up for. I also enjoy going out with members and missionaries in the ward to visit with family and teach lessons to families that can teach them more about Christ and help invite the spirit to their homes.
