Hi I'm Katie Walton

I'm a feminist. I'm a wife and future mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While I was born in Provo, UT I was raised in a suburb of Seattle, Washington. I am a recent college graduate with a BS in Sociology with minors in Women's Studies and Communications. I was also recently married to a wonderful man. I'm currently trying to enter the working world and become a human resources professional.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that this church has the fullness of the truth of Christ's church. I believe that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me. I believe that Jesus Christ performed the atonement which saved all of God's children from sin and through that atonement Christ created a way for all of us to return to live with our Father in Heaven. I believe in continuing revelation and that God speaks through a prophet today to guide us through modern trials. I believe in personal revelation and that God's love and watchful eye never leaves us. I believe that families can be together forever. While I do not know or understand everything, I continue to believe because this church is based on asking questions and having faith. I have faith that God's ways are higher than my ways; I have faith in God's love; and I have faith that God will answer all of my questions.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church meetings and by actively seeking out opportunities to serve. I believe the best way to become like Christ is to act like Christ and I feel that I do that through simple acts of service.
