Hi I'm Micaela

I grew up in Nampa, Idaho and am 18 years old. I am the oldest of four girls in my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student and working two jobs. While I'm not working or doing homework I enjoy spending time with my family and friends even if we are just sitting around the living room. I love to dance and is something I hope I can carry on into my life as I get older. I am a people person. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories and life experiences. As much as I like to listen to other's stories, I also enjoy sharing mine and can talk for hours.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was fourteen and not once have I doubted my decision. The gospel brings true happiness in our lives that no where else in the world you can find. Christ and His gospel brings us eternal joy while what the world offers is temporal joy. I have learned that by personal experience. Middle school years are tough. Its a time where people are trying to fit in and figure out who they are. I tried hanging out with so many different people, doing different sports and activities, and even going to different types of churchs. Even though my life was busy and I seemed happy, I felt like something was missing. I was invited to go to girls camp by a neighbor and there I was able to feel complete, like there was nothing missing. It took me two years to come to terms that I only felt that way when I went to girls camp or any other church activity. That is when I decided to take the missionary discussions and instantly knew I was to get baptized. I testify that that was the best decision I have made in my life. I still have trials and moments of weakness but I know that I can rely on my Savior and try my best to follow His gospel and plan for me and He will then make things right. It is such a comfort to me to know that Christ lives and that He visits His people in their afflictions, as long as we ask for Him. "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7, New Testament.

How I live my faith

Currently I am the girls camp director for my ward. It has been such a fun calling since I was just at camp myself two years ago, and now I get to go and teach. It has helped me find a new love that I have for the young women in the ward. Now that I am a leader to them I feel closer to them than when we were friends. I have also recently been called to serve as a missionary for the church in South Carolina. So when I'm not planning girls camp, I'm preparing to teach the gospel. I have been so busy but enjoy every moment of it and wouldn't trade it for anything.
