Hi I'm Kristi Shaffer

I grew up in Nevada. I am a missionary in Mexico. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Before my mission, I studied math at a University. I love to laugh, I love to play music, I love to be outside. I love my friends and my family. I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon since being baptized at the age of eight. My parents taught me about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I followed them to church every Sunday. I have had such a rich life, and I cannot deny that this church has blessed my family in at least a million ways! But growing up as a Mormon does not necessarily mean that I knew for myself that it was right. As children of God, we each have the opportunity to pray to Him. And as a wonderful parent to us all, God will always answer our prayers. I prayed to my Father in Heaven, and I asked Him, with all the sincerity of my heart, if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true. And you know what? He answered! I am a witness that this church is true. And I believe that God wants us all to know it! He wants us all to enjoy the glorious blessings of His gospel. There is peace and happiness to be found in this church that simply cannot be found in the world. God loves us and He knows us. He knows what we can become, and He is the only one that can help us get there. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for this church in my life. It is the one perfect thing in this imperfect world!

How I live my faith

As a missionary, I get the opportunity to visit people in their homes and teach them about the things that are the most important. I get the opportunity to talk about God and His love. I get the opportunity to talk about His plan for all of us as His children. We have the privelege of seeing people come to know their Savior, Jesus Christ and find true joy in their lives. I cannot think of anything better. I live my faith gratefully. I live my faith happily!
